Ludlow are four points above St Georges and travel to runaway leaders Newport this Saturday.
A fine all-round display from Tom Crump inspired Church Stretton to an exciting six-wicket home victory over Shifnal 3rd in Division Three.
Crump took 3-44 to restrict the visitors to 198-6 and, supported by Saif Khalid (41), struck an unbeaten 41 to guide Stretton home.
Ludlow old-boy Pete Ezard now plays for Reman Services 2nd and was a thorn in Ludlow 2nd’s side in 2nd XI Division One.
Simon Lane took 5-39 but Ezard (30no) and Gary Williams (47no) put on an unbroken 91-run stand for the ninth-wicket which lifted Reman to 195-9. Despite 43 from Gareth Parker, Ludlow 2nd replied with a total of 130-8.
Aaron Wilcox (53), Ed Motley (4-19) and Muhammad Asif Rao (3-17) shone in Corvedale 2nd’s 124-run win at Llanidloes 2nd in Division Six.
And Caitlin Perry (4-21) and Dan Haubenschmid (59no) were influential in Bishop Castle 2nd’s five-wicket home success over Forton 2nd in 2nd XI Division Three.

But first-team skipper Aaron Morris hit 50 for Tenbury 2nd who suffered a six-wicket home defeat against Worcester 2nd in 2nd XI Division Two.
Sam Evans blasted an unbeaten 71 as Cleobury Mortimer 2nd romped to a 10-wicket home success over Old Elizabethans 4th in 2nd XI Division Five.
Gre g Shorter (4-30) and Alex Howman (3-16) had set up Cleobury’s win after bowling out the Worcester outfit for 89.
