MARK Boucker and Alex Bright will be battling for the golden boot in Tenbury Town’s last match of a memorable campaign at Relentless this Saturday.

The striking duo have both netted 21 goals as Town have clinched their first-ever promotion from Herefordshire League Division Three.

One – or both - will be presented with the top marksman honour on Saturday night at the club’s awards bash at the Shamraj Balti House.

Boucker scored twice for Town in last weekend’s below-par 3-0 away win over Ross Juniors Reserves, who failed to muster a shot at goal.

Bright missed the match through family commitments and substitute Toby Denning hit Town’s third goal.

Chris Patton twice hit the woodwork and Town missed a glut of chances in a onesided affair.

“We will need to be back on our game at Relentless if we are to finish this historic season with a win,” said Town spokesman Carl Lambert.

The performance was in contrast to Town’s impressive display in the 1-0 midweek defeat at champions Bromyard FC.

Town were undone by a goal in the first minute following a scramble inside their area.

Boucker was a constant threat for Town and Henri Harvey-Smith lashed a shot narrowly wide. Rampant Bromyard wrapped up the title with a 17-1 battering of Tenbury Colts last Saturday.

Tenbury United crashed 3-0 at home to Sikh Hunters in Monday’s West Midlands League Division Two match.
