Tenbury Athletic crash 4-3 against Rosey Athletic in Herefordshire Sunday League Division One North

COLIN Powell’s Tenbury United face a tough trip to table-topping Gornal Athletic Reserves this Saturday.

Gornal have lost just three matches this term and are three points clear at the top of the West Midlands League Division Two table.

United are second from bottom after last weekend’s match at Malvern Rangers was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.

Tenbury Colts also have a difficult challenge this Saturday, travelling to top-of-the-table Bromyard FC in Herefordshire League Division Three.

Meanwhile, Tenbury Athletic surrendered a 3-2 lead and crashed 4-3 against Rosey Athletic in Herefordshire Sunday League Division One North.

A brace from Daniel Jara and a goal from Mark Boucker looked to have sealed the points for Tenbury.

But Hereford-based Rosey scored twice in the last five minutes, including Ian Morris’ stoppage-time strike, to break Tenbury’s hearts.

Ben Porter (2) and Alex Dzindzol also netted for the Hereford outfit.

Athletic’s Toby Gittens is expected to ring the changes for Tenbury’s league match at Bell this Sunday.
