3:23pm Wednesday 13th March 2013 in Sport By Ian Morgan
LUDLOW Town Bowling Club have issued an urgent appeal for new players.
The club are in a ‘very serious danger’ of withdrawing from this season’s Flowfit Ludlow and District Bowling League.
Club secretary Richard Pinchin said: “Due to low numbers of available players, we may have to withdraw from the league before the start of the season.”
New players wanting to give Ludlow Town a lifeline, should call Richard Pinchin as soon as possible on 07969 293295.
Meanwhile, the league are now looking for someone to take over the fixture secretary’s role for the 2014 season.
League treasurer Phil Baker has agreed to carry on with the role for the new campaign and will also help secretary Steve Burmingham to run the league website.
Flowfit will be carrying on with their sponsorship of the league for a second season.
Simon Parsonage, the managing director of Flowfit, presented the sponsorship cheque to league officers Burmingham and Baker.
