Defeat for Ludlow and bad day for Tenbury RFC and Tenbury United

LUDLOW suffered a setback in Midlands One West when they were beaten 21-17 at Berkswell and Balsall.

And Tenbury’s fading hopes of Midlands Four West (North) promotion all but disappeared after a 45-9 beating at leaders Market Drayton.

Clee Hill won their local derby with Bishops Castle 10-6 to boost their hope of beating the drop.

Tenbury United also suffered a battering on a bad day for the town, going down 7-1 at new West Midlands League Division Two leaders Bartestree.

Church Stretton have resumed their position at the head of the Mercian League after a 5-1 win at Ketley Bank United.

And Ludlow remain close on their heels after a 2-0 success at Allscott.
