ORLETON Colts Reserves’ player-manager Chris Waldron said high-flying Bromyard FC are a class above in Herefordshire League Division Three, writes TOM VALE.
Former Worcester City striker Chris Jefferson bagged a brace for unbeaten leaders Bromyard, while Connor Bennington and James Cable also scored.
Leading marksman Toby Siveter, who has netted 16 goals this season, had two half-chances for thirdplaced Orleton.
“Bromyard were just too good for us and some of their players were just simply another class,” said Waldron, who played in goal.
Orleton finished bottom of their division last term.
Waldron added: “We’ve got some better players this season because I am a Ludlow lad and I’ve brought some new guys from that area to help us out.
“Our target this season was to finish mid-table, maybe the top-four but whether we can do that now, I’m not so sure.”
Orleton travel to Chris Shurmer’s Leintwardine Colts in the league this Saturday.
