Ludlow Amateur Boxing Club's Chris Preece loses thrilling fight at Shrewsbury and Severnside’s Show

Ludlow boxer Chris Preece was given a standing ovation in a narrow defeat at Shrewsbury and Severnside’s Show.
Preece missed out on the judges’ decision after a hard-fought three-round light welterweight bout in Friday’s show at the Lord Hill Hotel.
Colin Woodfield, Ludlow ABC chairman, said: “Each fighter landed some great shots and the decisive round became the third and final one.”
Woodfield says Preece is still training hard ahead of his next bout at Ludlow’s own dinner show at Ludlow Racecourse on Friday, March 8, which starts at 6.30pm.
