Tenbury stunned as Telford Hornets gain first Midlands Four West (North) win of the season

THERE was a shock reverse for Tenbury who were beaten 27-17 at Midlands Four West (North) strugglers Telford.

It was Hornets first win of the season at the 11th attempt.

Defeat sees Tenbury lose ground on leaders Market Drayton who were 22-0 winners at Clee Hill.

Bishops Castle continued their improvement with a 15-10 home win over Barton-under-Needwood.

Ludlow were heavily beaten by Midlands One West promotion-chasers Old Halesonians, going down 43-0.

Cleobury Mortimer slipped to the foot of the Midlands Three West (North) table after a 36-6 reverse at Eccleshall.

Tenbury United regained some pride for the town with a 2-1 home win over Malvern Rangers in Division Two of the West Midlands League.

Ludlow’s trip to Shifnal United in the Mercian League was postponed.
