THE long-awaited Tenbury football derby takes place this Saturday at Palmer’s Meadow.
Tenbury Town will play Tenbury Colts in the Herefordshire League Division Three (2.30pm kick-off).
The big match was postponed last month because of the snow.
Tenbury United put up a brave fight, going down 1-0 at leaders Ledbury Town in the West Midlands League Division Two.
United goalkeeper George Pearson had an outstanding match and Ryan Morris almost snatched a point in the dying minutes.
Dan Herbert bagged the decisive goal in the first-half of Saturday’s match.
Tenbury Athletic moved up to sixth in the Herefordshire Sunday League Division One North after a 3-0 victory over Kingspan.
The Gittens brothers had a leading role for Athletic, setting up two goals.
Mark Boucker put Athletic ahead after a long ball from Jake Gittens.
Jack Farrar doubled their advantage, heading home Toby Gittens’ corner.
And the lively Alex Lombardi wrapped up Athletic’s success, coolly placing the ball into an empty net.
