Ludlow Cricket Club's, the Herefordshire Indoor League champions, have sights on Lord's Cricket Ground

LUDLOW Cricket Club’s indoor team have Lord’s in their sights.

The Herefordshire Indoor League champions are two steps from appearing at the home of cricket.

The first hurdle for Ludlow is against the South Wales League champions on February 17. “The club are representing the Herefordshire Indoor League in the national cup,” explained Ludlow spokesman Matt Porter.

“If we win our first-round game, we progress to Edgbaston and, if we win that, we go on to Lord’s,” he said.

Ludlow will be skippered by Sam Edwards and are hoping to open their new Herefordshire Indoor League campaign with a brace of wins in Leominster this Sunday.

Ludlow start the new season against Brockhampton at 4pm and then face Goodrich at 5.15pm.
