Ludlow Hockey Club crash 4-3 against Bromsgrove in Ener-G West Midlands League Division Two

LUDLOW Hockey Club let a 2-0 lead and also a 3-2 advantage slip as they crashed 4-3 against Bromsgrove in an Ener-G West Midlands League Division Two top-of-the- table battle.
Bromsgrove have leapfrogged Ludlow to take pole position but the Shropshire outfit are just one point behind their rivals.
Ludlow stormed into a 2-0 lead, with goals from Matt Blount and Andrew Richards, but the visitors hit back to draw level before the break.
Blount’s penalty-flick restored Ludlow’s advantage before Bromsgrove replied with two goals to claim a crucial win.
Jake Watts bagged a last-gasp winner in Ludlow 2nd’s 2-1 home success over Kingswinford in 2nd XI Division Two.
Kingswinford opened the scoring before Stephen Barnes hauled Ludlow level after Tim Machin’s fierce shot had been parried.
Machin had an effort ruled out before Watts snapped up Ludlow’s winner with 20 seconds remaining. Malachi Davenport-Smith had a fine match for Ludlow.
Joe Haywood scored in Ludlow 3rd’s 1-1 draw at Tamworth in the West Midlands North Fathom League.
Man-of-the-match Tyler Davis shone for Ludlow. Naomi Burgoyne, Ryan Davies and goalkeeper Luke Oatham also played well for the visitors, who led 1-0.
