Ludlow Cricket Club's captain Bryn Simmons has nets appeal

LUDLOW Cricket Club begin preparations for the new season on Sunday, January 27.

New first-team skipper Bryn Simmons is appealing for new players to come to the winter nets.

“Any senior player wanting to play cricket for Ludlow is welcome to come along - we’re always looking for new players,” said Simmons.

The indoor nets will be taking place from 10am to noon at Church Stretton Leisure Centre.

Simmons, a former Corvedale wicketkeeper, has replaced Louis Watkins, who is spending the summer in Australia.

It will be Simmons’ second season at Ludlow. He lives in Aston-on-Clun and spent five years at Corvedale Cricket Club.

Ludlow host newly-promoted Cound in their opening Shropshire County League Premier Division match on April 20.
