MARK Boucker marked his debut for Tenbury Athletic with a goal in an outstanding 3-2 win at high-flying Burghill in Herefordshire Sunday League Division One North.
Athletic led 3-0 before surviving a late fightback to end promotion-chasing Burghill’s long unbeaten run.
Boucker, a familiar face in Tenbury Town’s Saturday league team, set up Athletic’s opener, flicking on the ball for Dan Jara to score.
Jack Farrar doubled Athletic’s advantage before Boucker netted his maiden goal for the visitors.
Marksman Carl Price netted twice for in-form Newcastle in their 3-2 home victory over Radnor Valley in Mid Wales League (South).
John Goodridge’s side made it five wins from six matches but they had to work hard for their triumph.
The visitors made the better start before Price put Newcastle ahead after his initial shot had been blocked.
Matt Malley headed a second from Scot Oxford’s cross but Radnor soon levelled. Price restored Newcastle’s two-goal advantage after racing on to Oxford's through-ball for his 18th goal of the campaign.
Radnor reduced arrears with a late consolation effort.
Fourth-placed Newcastle visit Brecon Town this Saturday, while Bucknell travel to third-placed Rhayader Town.
Meanwhile, holders Bishop’s Castle will travel to Penybont in the quarter-finals of the Newcastle Cup.
Bucknell have been drawn at home to Churchstoke and Newcastle will host Newbridge Reserves.
In the other tie, Knighton Town Reserves will entertain Kerry.
A 75th-minute goal condemned Woofferton to a 2-1 defeat at Ledbury Town Reserves in Herefordshire League Division One.
Dan Bradley levelled for Woofferton before the interval but Ledbury bagged a late winner.
Woofferton Colts romped to a 6-1 victory at Civil Service in Division Two.
Craig Morris, Chris Breakwell, Dan Hicks, George Piper, Jake Collett and Luke Pugh were on the scoresheet for Colts in a one-sided affair.
A brave double-block from Tom George salvaged a point for Leintwardine Colts in a 1-1 draw at Sinkums Colts in Division Three.
George kept out two efforts on the goalline in the dying seconds as Chris Shurmer’s Leintwardine picked up an unexpected point.
Leintwardine broke the deadlock on half-an-hour after Jonny Tranter raced on to Cyril Martin’s through-ball to slot home.
Robbie Godding had a shot which narrowly flew over the hosts’ bar.
Sinkums levelled with 10 minutes remaining from a wind-assisted goal before George’s match-saving blocks denied the hosts.
