TEENAGE boxing ace Chadd Woodfield has finished runner-up in the West Midlands Schooboy Championships.
The Ludlow Amateur Boxing Club fighter recorded an impressive semi-final success on Saturday before losing to Joe Jenkins 24 hours later.
Ludlow School pupil Chadd, 13, competed in the 46 to 48 kg section in 1999 class two of the event at Donnington, Telford.
Proud dad Colin Woodfield said: “Chadd did very well and fought impressively in both matches. I believe Joe Jenkins also won the title last year.”
Chadd thanked Craven Arms-based Boyd Scaffolding for their continued support.
Another Ludlow Amateur Boxing Club member, Terry Dean Smith, will be fighting this weekend at the Midlands Schooboy Championships, also in Donnington.
Dean Smith was given a bye from the West Midlands Championships. He fights in the 46 to 48 kg of the 2000 class one.
