Tenbury United 2 Hereford Lads Club 3

AARON Morris says Tenbury United regained their pride after being crushed 7-0 at Hereford Lads Club less than two months ago.

United fell 2-0 behind in Saturday’s West Midlands League Division Two return fixture before giving the Hereford club a fright.

“We came out all guns blazing in the second-half and put them under a lot of pressure,” said Morris, who netted United’s first goal from the penalty spot.

“Lads Club went 2-0 up and I think they thought they had won the game. “It was a much-improved display by us and we had a stronger team than when we played in Hereford in November.”

Morris gave Tenbury hope, firing home a left-footed penalty to reduce arrears to 2-1 at Palmer’s Meadow.

Lads Club made it 3-1 before Lee Millichip gave Tenbury renewed belief, heading past visiting goalkeeper Steve Bell.

But United couldn’t find a leveller and travel to Malvern Rangers in the league this Saturday.

“Malvern Rangers are not a bad side,” said Morris. “They have a few decent players and it won’t be an easy game for us.”
