TENBURY United player Aaron Morris says that unavailability of players has been the key behind the team’s inconsistent form this season.

United are 10th in West Midlands League Division Two and are will be looking to get a positive result against fourth-bottom Red Star Alma at Palmer’s Meadow tomorrow (Saturday).

“We beat them earlier in the year 3-1, but they are not a bad side,” said Morris.

“You can never tell what sort of team you will face, but I know that they have got some decent players.

“We have struggled playing- wise in that we have never put out the same team two weeks in a row, which I think is the reason why our season has been a bit mixed so far.”

Tenbury did not play last Saturday, so Morris is hoping that a week’s break will have recharged the players’ batteries.

“I think the league has gone away from us now in that we won’t win it, but if we get a couple of wins under our belt then we can go on a run,” he said.

“There is no reason why we cannot win games.

“Mike Foster has been brilliant at times for us when he has played and has probably been the stand-out player, but we haven’t been able to get a consistent team out.”
