Malachi stars as Ludlow defeat Pershore in Ener-G West Midlands League

TEENAGE goalkeeper Malachi Davenport-Smith made some good saves in Ludlow 2nd’s 3-0 home defeat against Pershore 2nd in the Ener-G West Midlands League.

Youngsters Joe Collins, Jordan Davenport-Smith and Martin Beaumont also played for Ludlow in this 2nd XI Division Two reverse.

Ludlow Ladies shipped two late goals in a 3-0 defeat at Worcester 2nd in Division One of the Worcestershire Women’s League.

Youngster Jodie Beddow narrowly fired over, while Zoe Morgan was voted Ludlow’s best player.

Emma Pollock bagged a brace but Ludlow Ladies lost 4-2 against Presteigne in the Marches/KBS Sunday League.

Samantha Gardiner made several fine saves for Ludlow and the defence worked hard throughout.
