HISTORY SOCIETY – Tenbury Wells and District History Society presents an exclusive talk given by Stephen Dean, principal archaeologist, Staffordshire County Council, on the find of the century, the Staffordshire hoard.

In July 2009, the largest ever hoard of Anglo-Saxon gold and silver was found in a Staffordshire field.

Dating back to the 7th century with more than 3,500 items and valued at £3.3 million, the Staffordshire hoard has captured the world’s imagination.
