A SCHOOL near Tenbury is planning to hold an open morning, featuring a lunchtime concert by some special choristers.

Abberley Hall School, which educates around 270 children aged from two to 13 drawn from all over the Midlands, will open the doors of its Great Witley premises on Saturday, February 25.

“On our open morning, our headmaster Will Lockett will welcome visitors with coffee in the front hall and then pupils will be taking families on a tour of the school and the facilities we offer on our 100 acre site, including our sports fields, Forest School and stables,” said marketing director Victoria Beswick.

“We will be dropping in on classrooms to talk to staff and children and families can stay for lunch if they wish,” she explained.

There will be a lunchtime concert featuring instrumentalists as well as some of the Abberley Hall pupils who have been chosen to be part of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra Children’s Chorus.

A total of 10 children from the school were selected from many hundreds auditioning to sing with the world-renowned orchestra on a regular basis.
