A GLORIOUS day helped to make Tenbury Show memorable.

In the recent past the show has been hit by wet weather but in 2016 it could hardly have been more perfect.

The show brought visitors from the Teme Valley, the West Midlands, Borders and other parts of the country to the town.

For farmers there was a busy day to do business and livestock judging included the 32nd national show of Hereford Cattle.

Tenbury Show is the biggest single event in the annual calendar for the town.

There were also horse and pony classes and a large selection of agricultural stands and exhibitions.

A programme of events took place in the main ring throughout the day including the first appearance in Tenbury of stunt rider ‘The Kangaroo Kid'.

There were dog displays, a duck show, pigs, alpacas, gun dog displays, ferret racing, exotic animals and a falconry display.

Visitors viewed an arts and rural crafts marque as well sampled a food fayre.

There was show-jumping, tractor-pulling and a horticultural marquee.

Children enjoyed go-karts, a slide, smiley train and face-painting.

Music was provided by a Caribbean Steel Melody Band.

Members of Young Farmers Clubs from throughout the country staged their annual tug-of-war finals.

A shuttle-bus enabled people to move between the show ground and Tenbury Town Centre.
