TENBURY will be rock solid for 12 hours on Saturday (June 18) as the annual music festival hits town.

Music will play from two stages on the Burgage as Tenbury again hosts its own mini Glastonbury.

Last year there was an unexpected special appearance from rock music legend Robert Plant.

But the organisers are up for it once again and there is an impressive programme with Steve Gibbons band, Robbie Blunt band and Quill headlining this year.

And there is young talent in the shape of Goodnight Lenin, who played at Glastonbury last year and ADO (Alternative Dubstep Orchestra), an up-and-coming, seven-piece band of musicians from Birmingham.

There will be established bands like the Steve Ajao Blues band, Dave Onions, Fabulous Bordellos and Obscure.

Away from the main stage there will be acoustic stage, where there will be a mix of fresh new talent.

There will be a marquee where people can get out of the sun or rain. Food will be available including West Indian cuisine and vegetarian.

A beer tent and cocktail bar will be on site and there will be many different stalls and a number of workshops.

There will be crafts to muse your way through, with security, stewards and first aiders provided for your safety.

Music lovers who want to stay overnight can take advantage of camping facilities and caravan pitches on Palmers Meadow.

A long list of local businesses are sponsoring the festival and money raised will go to the Teenage Cancer Trust.
