A FLAMING summer and a good run for England in the European Championships is just what a new business in Tenbury is hoping for.
Teme Valley Foods has opened a factory shop on the Tenbury Business Park next to its factory.
It will be selling a range of meat products prepared at the factory next door.
But for the launch the food that gets top billing for the flying start is aimed at people wanting to eat outdoors.
“There is a strong appetite for BBQ’s in the summer and this is a market that we aim to serve,” said shop manager Jenni Harris.
“We know that people like to eat outside in the summer and they are more likely to do that if the weather is good. A good show by England in the football would also help and put people in a good mood.”
The business is also hoping to tap in for the enthusiasm for good food in Tenbury and the Teme Valley.
“People know their food in this area and Tenbury is not far behind Ludlow when it comes to a reputation for great produce,” added Jenni Harris.
There will be a full range of meat products including beef, lamb, pork and chicken. It is hoped that the new shop will create a number of new jobs.
It will be open seven days a week.
