PEOPLE in the Teme Valley are throwing a belated birthday party for the Queen.

A full day is promised and it is food from start to finish as people in Eastham and Rochford fine a way to have a good time.

The event is at Rochford Village Hall on Saturday, June 11.

It will start with a full English breakfast at 9.30am.

Then to work off the calories there is a country walk through the Teme Valley to Eastham Village Hall where sandwiches, cakes, tea and coffee will be available.

This is followed at 4.30pm with fun and games for children on Eastham Village Green including favourites from when the Queen was young like an eggs and spoon and sack race.

In the evening starting from 6.30pm there is a BBQ and band including the chance to eat from a ‘pudding table.’

The breakfast is £5 for adults and £2.50 for children and needs to be booked by calling Anne Prosser on 01584 781317 or Rachel Arnold on 01584 781335.
