WILLIAM Shakespeare has been on the menu at Tenbury High School.

But it was ‘Much ado about nothing’ for one student with a hand for baking.

Faced with a homework project about the Elizabethan Globe Theatre Phoebe Walters-Dowell headed not for the computer but the kitchen where she made a cake of the iconic threatre.

She managed to keep it away from people in her home with a sweat tooth in the house and thereby avoided the unlikely excuse that her homework had been eaten.

It was perhaps her way of doing domestic science and English homework at the same time.

“I really loved this piece of English homework as I love making cakes,” she said.

Adrian Price the principal at the Tenbury High School Ormiston Academy, did not reveal if the marking included a ‘taste test.’

“At Tenbury High, we like to get students really engaged and excited about what they are learning in the classroom to ensure they achieve highly and we’ve seen some great pieces of work produced by students, including Phoebe’s amazing cake,” said Adrian Price.
