TWO very odd looking characters were amongst the shoppers in Tenbury.
Flunkett and Dame Trott, alias actors Simon Wallace and Chris Davis were taking part in a dress rehearsal for what is promised will be the town’s biggest and best pantomime.
This is quite a challenge because the bar was set very high last year with Aladdin that was a sell-out.
Writer and director Ben Crocker is the man behind the 2016 production and he has set Jack and the Beanstalk in the countryside around Tenbury – an area better known for apples, fruits, hops and mistletoe rather than beanstalks.
Amongst the features of the show will be beanstalks, giants and even a cow from Tenbury.
There is a mix of professional and amateur performers taking part including actors, singers, dancers, babes and musicians. It all starts on Saturday, December 19.
