A HEAVY afternoon shower did nothing to dampen the enjoyment of Tenbury Show.

People from all over the West Midlands came to join in as Tenbury had its biggest day out of the year at a show that succeeds in combining the atmosphere and events of a serious agricultural show with fun for all of the family.

There was a chance for farmers to meet and do business at the show rings and also at the large display of farming related stalls and trade stands.

Sheep, cattle and horses are the real stars of the show which includes one of the finest displays of Hereford Cattle to be seen anywhere in the country with the event playing host to the 31st National Show of Hereford Cattle.

It also hosted the National Ryeland Sheep Show.

There was an Agricultural Olympics event, a tractor pull, and a display of vintage vehicles.

Dogs were represented with a display of beagles and so were birds of prey showing off their falconry skills.

A wide variety of food and drink was available with a food fayre that included cooking demonstrations.

There was also a countryside ring that hosted sheep and gun dog demonstrations, a duck display and the chance to enjoy the skills of sheep and gun dogs.
