A TRADITIONAL red telephone box outside Tenbury is becoming the location of choice for those looking for somewhere with a difference to stage an event.

The box in St Michael’s was last year the venue for the smallest photographic exhibition in the world.

Since then all types of events and displays have taken place.

This time the display publicises a massage evening in the village hall.

This has been a regular annual event but has never had this form of publicity before.

Jane Crabtree, the organiser, has been a teacher of massage and complimentary therapy for 20 years at Hereford’s Royal National College for the Blind.

The college is the UK’s leading specialist residential college of further education for people aged 16 to 65 with a visual impairment.

Two types of massage will be available.

The first, On Site Chair, involves the use of a special chair.

This is a non-invasive massage involving neck, back and shoulders while remaining fully clothed.

The second, Reflex Foot Massage, uses a peppermint scented lotion. This is relaxing and induces ‘bodily harmony'.

The event has been a great success over the years and takes place this evening (Thursday, May 14).

Everyone is welcome and the doors will be open at 7pm.

Entry per person is £8 but this doesn’t limit people to just one massage.
