WITH National Walking Week approaching ‘The Rock Pathfinders’ say there is no excuse for not to get your walking boots on and taking part in the 15th annual Rock Pound The Bounds Walk4Life.

Starting from Rock Village Hall on Sunday, May 3 in Rock, Walk4Life is aimed at encouraging walkers of all ages and abilities to get out and enjoy the countryside.

With donations from registrations going to the Midlands Air Ambulance charity, the event is not just a great day out, but also a fantastic way to raise money to support the charity’s vitally important pre-hospital emergency service.

On the day, walkers can choose from a three mile children’s treasure trail, or the six, nine, 12, 18 or 26 mile routes, taking in some of the picturesque Wyre Forest.

“Walking is such a wonderfully sociably sport, and the benefits really speak for themselves – from the physical exercise, to a lovely way to spend time with family and friends,” said Sue Humphries of the Rock Pathfinders.

“Everyone who has taken part in Walk4Life previously has a really enjoyable time, and we’re encouraging even more people to sign up to this year’s walks and help raise much needed funds for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.”

To register visit www.poundthebounds.org.uk.

Entry fees start from £3 per person. Those interested in taking part can download a sponsorship form to raise additional funds for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, by visiting the website, or contacting Sue Humphries on 01299 400304 or suehumphries1@hotmail.co.uk.
