THE natural world is a great place to look for truly fresh food.

A wander through the countryside can provide all kinds of different culinary treasures.

But it can also leave people very sick, in hospital or worse.

The important thing is for food foragers to know what they are looking for and this is the purpose behind a number of autumn foraging courses that are being run near Tenbury and the Teme Valley.

It aims to help people to identify wonderful tasty treasurers and also know what should be left well alone.

Particular care needs to be taken with some berries and also with fungi which can be delicious but the wrong ones contain toxins that are highly poisonous and leave anyone who eats them seriously ill and in some cases they can prove fatal.

The autumn foraging courses are run by Wild Food UK and start from the Temeside Inn at Little Hereford.
