GALLONS of apple juice were drunk as Tenbury and the Teme Valley held its annual celebration of its signature fruit.
After one of the warmest and driest Septembers on record it was back to normal service as far as the weather was concerned for the Tenbury Applefest.
But there was a lot to enjoy including an opportunity to see apples pressed into juice and to taste apple based foods including pies that helped to keep the cold away.
If anyone thought that an apple was just an apple then they found out how wrong this assumption is with many different varieties on display and available for tasting.
The event on The Burgage also had a busy programme of activities for children to enjoy.
But it was the apple that took centre stage and one of the attractions was to watch a mechanical peeling and core remover at work.
