A TENBURY woman has been cleared of stealing more than £22,000 from a building society over a seven-year period.
Angela Millichip was in tears at Worcester Crown Court after prosecutor Iain Willis offered no evidence against the 62-year-old, of Stanbrook Road.
Mr Willis said it had been a "long and chequered" case but the prosecution had come to the conclusion that they could not prove the allegations..
Mrs Millichip had denied stealing £22,482,32 cash from the Dudley Building Society between December 2005 and January 2012.
The prosecution alleged she falsified balance sheets and daily records but she denied stealing cheques and false accounting.
Judge Richard Rundell recorded not guilty verdicts on all charges and allowed a defence claim for travelling expenses.
