THE second fire engine at Tenbury has been given a reprieve.
A recommendation to remove one of the two fire engines based in Burford has been deferred.
This came after a plan by the Hereford and Worcester Fire Authority to cut its budget was voted down.
A decision has now been made to dip into reserves and use nearly £500,000 which means that the changes to the fire service would not have to be made for another year.
The issue will now be considered again in June.
