Firefighters tackle pub fire

FIREFIGHTERS have tackled a fire at a north Herefordshire pub.

They attended the fire at the Jolly Frog on the A4113 outside Leintwardine today (Wednesday) after being called at 8.45am.

Alec Mackie, fire service press officer, said: "The fire was in the function room and was caused by a bread oven overheating. Smoke was spotted by a neighbour who called the brigade."

He added that no casualties were reported.

Crews from Leintwardine, Kingsland, Clun and Ludlow attended the fire.
