Motorcyclist airlifted to Selly Oak

A MOTORCYCLIST was seriously injured during a road collision at Middleton, near Ludlow, at 10.30am today (Tuesday).

West Midlands Ambulance Service received a number of emergency calls and a rapid response vehicle along with the County Air Ambulance were sent to the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "On arrival, crews found a motorcycle that had left the road."

The motorcyclist, a man believed to be in his 40's suffered head injuries in the incident and was treated at the scene.

The spokesman added: "The patient was airlifted to Selly Oak Hospital major trauma unit for further assessment and treatment."
