CHURCH Stretton is taking another step towards a greener future and is set to launch a sustainable tourism initiative at the Long Mynd Hotel on Friday, April 18.
Town councillor Bob Welch, heading up the strategy, said: "We want to attract the type of visitors who really appreciate the landscape of the Long Mynd, the history of the town and who want to eat local food. So we've pooled lots of ideas and developed a strategy for the next five years."
The strategy has been developed by the town council, Shropshire Hills Area of Natural Beauty (AONB) Partnership, National Trust, South Shropshire District Council, Church Stretton Area Tourism Group and the Chamber of Trade.
The strategy is linked to the Shropshire Hills Buy Local Be Sustainable Scheme launched by the AONB Partnership.
