FORMER patients are being urged to contact the County Air Ambulance willing to help the charity by telling their story.

The Air Ambulance charity, which started operating in 1991, would like to hear from as many former patients as possible and receive their account of being airlifted to hospital. The testimonials could then be promulgated to celebrate the work of the helicopter medical service.

Air ambulance spokesperson Steve Parry said: "We have airlifted literally thousands of patients to hospital over the years. The problem is we lose contact with many once they are handed over at the hospital. We hope to include as many personal accounts as possible on our website and use testimonials in publications being planned to chart almost two decades of this unique medical service."

Former patients, either wishing to share their identity or remain anonymous, are being encouraged to email a brief outline of their experience to: myexperience@countyairambulance.org, write to My Experience, Charity HQ, Unit 16, Enterprise Trading Estate, Pedmore Road, Brierley Hill, West Midlands, DY5 1TX, or go to www.countyairambulance.com for further details.
