A NEW photography showcase has launched in Kingfisher Shopping Centre this month, shining the spotlight on the vibrancy of Redditch’s hidden gems.

The display features snapshots of some of the region’s beautiful scenery and key landmarks, including the Forge Mill Needle Museum and the County Court.

Photos capture the various sides of Redditch from a range of different perspectives and angles.

The exhibition has launched in partnership with Webheath Digital Photography Club and Kingfisher, and can be viewed near Prezzo in Kingfisher’s dining and entertainment space The Hub.

Ken Williams, general manager at Kingfisher, said: “It’s a pleasure to give Webheath Digital Photography Club the platform to showcase their skills and the great work of their club.

"It’s important for us that we support great local community initiatives just like this one and the work that’s on display is fantastic.

“The photos have made a massive impact, brightening up what was a blank wall in our Hub.

"There’s a real vibrant mix of different images and we can’t wait for others to see and enjoy what’s been created.”

The images on display will change each quarter, allowing a vast range of photographers to showcase their work through this new platform.

Dennis Moore, competition secretary at Webheath Digital Photography Club, said: “What a fabulous showcase the club members have created here at Kingfisher.

"It’s wonderful to see the wide range of shots and styles on display and we hope lots of people will visit to enjoy the work."
