A REDDITCH youngster with ambitions of starring in the West End is proving dreams, or at least miracles, do come true.

Willow Heath has been given the lead role in the musical Miracle on 34th Street coming to the New Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham next month.

The seven-year-old attends Coughton Primary School and trains at both Vocalize Performing Arts Academy in Redditch and SOTE (School of Theatre Excellence) in Birmingham.

Proud mom Chloe said: "Willow dreams of being on the West End (Matilda in Matilda the Musical no less) so having the opportunity to take on a leading lady role, made famous by Mara Wilson in the film version, has really made her day.

"The opportunity to be successful in gaining such an iconic role at seven is something we are really proud of."

Willow had to go through a rigorous audition process to be successful in the role and has been rehearsing three days a week since the summer.

Based on one of the most popular films of all-time, the family favourite follows single mother, Doris, her daughter Susan and their neighbour Fred, on a magical journey of love and romance to discover if Macy Department Store’s Kris Kringle really is Santa Claus.

The play, performed by BMOS Musical Theatre Company, runs from November 11 to 18
