REDDITCH'S most famous adventurer Doug Richards will be giving a talk on his global adventures next month.

Doug, 69, who plans to complete at least a half marathon on each of the seven continents when he runs in Antarctica next March, will be giving a talk on November 11 at The Abbey Hotel in Redditch.

The event is in aid of the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.

It is the second talk he will give and follows one last week where he raised more than £240 for the charity.

"The talk was a great success," he said.

"There were about 90 people there and I had some excellent feedback."

He added: “I give a lot of talks on my races around the world to various clubs and societies in the Midlands but most of these have a closed membership.

“This is an opportunity for anyone to hear what I have to say and hopefully inspire them to become more adventurous themselves in their own lives, whatever their interests.”

Doug has supported the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity since 2014 and has raised more than £3,500 for them to date.
