BENEFIT claimants in all three areas in South Worcestershire have increased from last year.
In labour market statistics released on Tuesday, the amount of unemployed people in Worcester increased by 135 in April from this time last year, to reach 1,145.
The number of people aged between 18 and 24 collecting benefits also increased to 240 from 225.
In Wychavon the jobless claimant count increased by 140 to 820 from April last year and in the 18 to 24 category it was up by 15 to 145.
Malvern Hills saw a rise in claimants of 135 to 565 with those between 18 and 24 up by 15 to 130.
Nationally, the data shows that the proportion of people in work has increased to 75.6 percent which is the highest since 1971.
