TWELVE jobs have been created after bakery giant Greggs opened a new shop in Kidderminster.

The new shop opened its doors recently at Unit 2, in Foley Drive, and is designed to meet the demands of busy food-on-the-go shoppers. Seating is also available in store.

Ricky Brezwyn, shop manager, said: "I am very proud to be managing this new shop and the shop team are looking forward to hearing what the local community think."

It will offer savouries and sandwiches, freshly prepared throughout the day, as well as a range of confectionary products. Customers can also enjoy a wide range of hot drinks, including freshly ground coffee made with a unique blend of 100 per cent Fairtrade Arabica beans and Robusta beans.

Roisin Currie, retail director for Greggs, added: "We are delighted to be able to invest in Kidderminster and provide our valued customers with a modern and convenient new shop.

"We hope our new and existing customers enjoy the wide range of products on offer, whether they are grabbing a hot cup of coffee, a freshly-made sandwich or a delicious savoury or sweet treat."

The new Kidderminster store will be open between 6am and 7pm Monday to Friday, 7am to 7pm on Saturdays and 8am to 5pm on Sundays.
