AN application to change the conditions of a housing project has been deferred amid fears about flooding.

Councillor Allistair Adams, who represents the Honeybourne area, said that the changes to the successful application for 14 homes at land of Honeybourne High Street should not have its conditions altered.

Applicants Mr A. J. Shorey, Mrs V. Hall and Mrs E. O'Sullivan have applied to remove two conditions of the building work, to do with the height of the pavements and access to the properties.

Cllr Adams said at the Wychavon District Council planning meeting: "The High Street in Honeyborne floods, and the conditions are in place to stop that, it would be detrimental to residents to remove the conditions.

"Honeybourne flooded in 2007, 2008 and 2012 so this area does flood."

Councillors made a unanimous decision to defer the application, in order to find out more about why councillors want the conditions removed.
