West Mercia Police have urged caution
A WARNING has been issued to Cofton Hackett residents to keep their cars secure, following reports of an increase in car thieves.
Thieves are reported to be targeting insecure vehicles in the Cofton Hackett area.
Police patrols have been conducted in the area to speak with residents and offer crime prevention leaflets.
A police spokesman added: "The offender will simply walk up to motor vehicles trying the door handles.
"Should the car be unlocked the offender will enter the vehicle and steal property within.
"Lock and secure your vehicles. Don't keep valuables inside."
