THREE students from Bowbrook House School near Pershore, made the long trip to Queenswood School in Hertfordshire for the ISA National Tennis Tournament to compete against the best competitors from ISA schools across the country.

Oliver Dando of year 9 fared brilliantly in his singles U15 event, wining 5 out of 6 matches, only losing narrowly in the quarter-finals to an excellent opponent.

He did however; win the U15 double competition later in the day to take the doubles national crown.

Dan Chessman from year 8 managed a very impressive third place overall in the U13 singles competition but also went on to the U13 doubles tournament.

Briony Dando, who is in year 6 but was participating in the U13 competition managed to beat all-comers and won her singles final convincingly with a 5-1 landslide against a 13-year-old regional player.

To cap it all off, she then went on to win her doubles competition.

In all, Oliver, Daniel and Briony managed four first place finishes in what proved to be a very challenging but successful outing for these talented players.
