THEY came from far and wide – some with jumble retrieved from long forgotten boxes in the loft and other clutching much loved family heirlooms.

The cause of all the excitement was the arrival at Ludlow Leisure Centre of ITV’s Dickinson’s Real Deal.

Antiques expert David Dickinson and his team were on hand to look at the finds.

In the programme people of fered money and if there is no deal the item goes to auction.

The affable Dickinson keeps an eye on things to make sure that no one gets sold short.

Dickinson’s Real Deal has become a staple of the ITV daytime TV schedule since it was first broadcast in 2006.

It has made the youthful looking 71-year-old presenter a celebrity after the show caught the public imagination.
