THERE'S the chance this Christmas to see how the other half live, thanks to festive tours of Eastnor Castle, near Ledbury.

A spokesman said: "This is an exclusive opportunity to feel seasonal at Eastnor Castle.

"If you’ve ever wondered how Christmas feels in one of Herefordshire’s finest homes, Eastnor Castle will be offering the opportunity to find out this December with exclusive Christmas tours around the property."

The spokesman added: "James Hervey-Bathurst, owner of Eastnor Castle, near Ledbury, will be opening his doors for private Christmas group tours at 5.30pm and 7pm on Thursday December 21.

"All proceeds from these tours will go directly to the Eastnor Church Tower Appeal."

The tours will include a look at the decorations, the candle-lit Dining Room table and a selection of bedrooms and state rooms led by James himself.

The spokesman added: "Visitors will also be able to enjoy Christmas carols from the Ledbury Choral Society accompanied by a mince pie and a glass of wine.

James Hervey-Bathurst said “Eastnor Castle looks magical at Christmas, and I’m delighted that we have the opportunity to open our doors for visitors. All proceeds from these tours will go towards to the Eastnor Church Tower Appeal; as Chairman of the appeal committee, I know that the income from these tours will be a big boost to the appeal.”
