A 23-YEAR-OLD Broadway drink driver who admitted his offence at the last minute on the day of his scheduled trial has been banned for 16 months.
Benjamin Janaway of Evesham Road, Broadway was stopped by police on Priors Road, Cheltenham on February 26 in his VW Polo, Cheltenham magistrates heard.
He was found to have 59 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit being 35 micrograms.
Janaway was fined £200, banned from driving for 16 months and ordered to pay prosecution costs of £500.
He belatedly admitted driving with excess alcohol, a charge he had denied till his trial date.
