SNAP-happy visitors to the weekend’s Community Bandstand Event are being encouraged to share their photos and film clips with Redditch Council

All the submissions sent will be put together to create a montage of the event which saw the Summer programme come to an end.

As well as a Samba Band, dancing, and musical theatre performances, there was also a community parade through Church Green and Tommy Wilson’s Fair was up and running.

The council’s portfolio-holder for leisure and cultural services, councillor Mike Rouse, has already made a short clip of the event.

He said: “I live-streamed the parade on Facebook and within four hours the footage got over 5,000 views.

“A highlight is where an 81-year-old resident joins in with the carnival dancer and young people, demonstrating these events really are for everyone.

“I tried to encapsulate the amazing atmosphere of communities coming together which makes Redditch a place to be proud of.”

All clips and photographs will form part of a montage of the finale which will be shared on social media.

Footage can be sent to communications@bromsgroveandredditch.gov.uk or message the council through Facebook or Twitter @RedditchMatters
