REVELLERS flocked to venues across the city this time last year to enjoy the Worcester Music Festival.
The festival took place from Friday, September 15, to Sunday, September 17 2017, with money being raised for St Paul’s Hostel. An eclectic line up of bands played. Some 25 venues in Worcester were involved in the three-day festival and some bars reported a surge in business. Ray Nelasquez, manager of the Firefly, in Lowesmoor, Worcester, said when interviewed last year: “At the moment we are two times busier than normal. We have been flat-out since 2pm.
“I think there should be more of these sort of events in Worcester.” Mr Nelasquez, aged 38, originally from Sydney, Australia, said events like the festival help to keep businesses busy. Sam Griffin, aged 45, of Arboretum, Worcester, said: “It’s been going on for 10 years. I think it’s good for the city. I don’t think it needs any improving.”
