A SPECIAL re-enactment display is to be held at Haden Hill House Museum to mark 100 years since the end of the First World War.

The Sandwell Remembers event will be at the Cradley Heath museum on Sunday, September 30, where visitor can learn more about Great War soldiers with the Royal Warwickshire Regiment re-enactment group.

Councillor Steve Trow, Sandwell Council’s cabinet member for culture and core services, said. “This is one of many events to mark the end of the war and a chance for local people to appreciate the efforts of British soldiers.

“Visitors will be able to learn about the soldiers' uniform, kit and weapons and what it was like to serve in often dreadful conditions in the trenches.”

People who get along to the museum, between noon and 4pm, for the free event will also have the chance to enjoy live music from the period and see demonstrations and drills outside.
